Professional Development
-
In-District professional development opportunities include, within budgetary limitation, special training courses, workshops, school visitations and assistance from supervisors and consultants. Additionally, certificated employees may engage in professional development activities outside of District offerings, such as university coursework and conferences.
The Â鶹Íø Professional Development Department facilitates the planning and implementation of professional development opportunities for teachers, administrators and classified staff.Professional development offers courses for certificated teachers and speech therapists, credit for which may be granted toward salary advancement if courses are completed outside of work hours, in the manner that approved courses in institutions of higher learning are taken into account. Please see the Certification page for more information.
