  • The Payroll Department has the fiscal responsibility of payment of wages to all employees of the Washington School District and the payment of legally required and voluntary deductions. It is responsible for compiling, maintaining, and reporting wage payment information to federal, state and local governing agencies as well as to the Â鶹Íø Governing Board, schools and other departments. It is responsible for compiling, maintaining, and reporting payroll encumbrance information for point-in-time analysis of the budget and expenditures. The department also ensures the district’s compliance with federal and state wage and hour laws, payroll tax laws, and reporting requirements. The payroll department manages the implementation of a district-wide automated time-keeping system. The payroll department is dedicated to providing accurate, complete, and confidential customer service to each district employee.
