Project Sprout is our Pre-K identification program for our youngest learners (ages 3 -5). Students in Â鶹Íø Headstart and Early Childhood Pre-K classes are identified by their teachers for possible characteristics of giftedness. Parents can also request testing for preschool-aged students if they live in the Â鶹Íø school boundaries. Once identified and recommended, these students are tested using a cognitive abilities test called the Differentiate Abilities Scale (DAS). Students who score in the 95th percentile or above recommended for gifted services in Kindergarten. Please contact Patti Ahlman if you would like your child to be considered for PreK gifted testing. She will help you schedule tetsing and provide any additional information.

The characteristics on this list can help identify young students (Pre-K) with gifted potential.
