The chain reaction of kindness begins with YOU!
The Acacia Kindness and Compassion Club (KC Club) is comprised of students in grades 1-6. They are an active group on campus that creates projects to support and foster kindness!
There are many projects throughout the year where students in the club work together to create school-wide projects where all students can help start a "chain reaction" of kindness.

Love Our Schools Day
The Acacia Kindness and Compassion Club partnered with Palmcroft Church, CORE, and GCU Clubs for Love Our Schools Day and spent their Saturday completing numerous campus improvement projects. Many areas of our campus looked SO much better because of their hard work. Love our Schools Day happens several times during the school year.
Pennies for Patients
Acacia Kindness Club partnered with Pennies for Patients and raised money to help find a cure for blood cancer. Brittany from the Arizona Leukemia and Lymphoma Society helped students understand the role white and red blood cells have in fighting cancer.
Owl Ornamanets
Before the pandemic, the KC Club made owls ornaments that have a small heart stamped with "KC" attached to an owl by a chain. The small red note attached reads:
"A++ Chain Reaction! You have found an Acacia A++ Owl! These trinkets are a symbol of kindness and compassion that Acacia's A++ students wish to pass on. Treat others the way you want to be treated. Be a positive influence. Speak words of kindness. Create a CHAIN REACTION and continue to spread kindness and compassion on to others with your actions and/or by passing the owl to others."
Members of the KC club left these ornaments in random locations for others to find. We are excited to bring back this wonderful activity to surprise our community and spread kindness.
Kindness Benches
Years ago, KC Club students decided they would like a place for children to go that need a friend or are feeling down. Our neighborhood Lowe's (Store Manager Chuck and employee Ray), made it all come true for us! They donated the supplies and Ray crafted the benches. Our students painted them and decided where they should be placed on each playground. Everyday, students notice someone on the benches and in no time at all, a friend is there to talk and get them up and playing.
Since starting this program years ago, it's been quite a success. KC Club students are proud of this community activity they sponsor. Even students not in the club will sit with students on the bench and invite them to play with them. The benches have been repainted several times by KC Club students to keep them looking fresh and welcoming.
