The Assistant Superintendent for Administrative Services supervises, coaches and mentors principals. This department also assists in acting as a department liaison with building administrators for student discipline concerns, student suspensions, expulsions and issues relating to maintaining a safe school environment. Parent and staff concerns that have not been resolved at the building level are also part of this department's responsibilities. The department also assists in developing, implementing and evaluating school improvement plans as well as facilitating training for the school improvement process.

This department also oversees the Community Enrichment Programs and the Social Services Department.
