Site Council

  • Washington Site Council is a collaborative group of parents, teachers, classified staff, community members and administrators with a goal of providing exemplary learning opportunities for students at the school.  Members are elected by their representative groups (ie: parents elect parent representatives, teachers elect teacher representatives).   Elected members represent their constituents with a focus and intent to voice the shared vision of the stakeholders.  Members refrain from the expression of personal ideas and opinions.

    Suggesting a Site Council Agenda Item

    This does not guarantee the topic will be added to the agenda. Adding it will be determined by the length of the current agenda and the relevance to the school body as a whole. Any topic not added to the agenda will be addressed directly with the person who suggests it.

    This form is due by 4:00pm the day before meetings are scheduled.

    Public Participation Form

    . Public Comments should be three minutes or less. They are not subject to conversation, but topics that need to be addressed further will be done so at a later time - either in a subsequent meeting or in a private conversation. All public comments will be read aloud by the Council secretary.

    Site Council Election Procedures and Applications

    We are currently looking for two new Site Council parents/guardians and a community member. If you would like to be considered for election to the Council, please complete this form in one of four ways.

    • Print site council application form and return it to the office..
    • Visit the office for a copy of the form to fill out.
    • Complete this form on your device and email it to waoffice@wesdschools.org
    • Complete the form via a Google Doc.

    By completing this form, you are agreeing for your name and statement of purpose/reason to be part of the election process and therefore, sent out to our Washington parent group. Addresses, phones, and email addresses will not be shared. If elected to the council, please reserve the following dates for meetings.

     
  • Meeting Schedule

    All meetings will begin at 4pm and will be held in the Washington Library. All meetings will be available virtually. Link will be shared the week of the meeting.
