Attendance
If your child will not be attending school, you must call the attendance office at 602-896-5790 by 8:30 a.m. and let us know the reason for the absence. Provide the child’s name, grade and specific reason why the child is absent, such as: sore throat, headache, doctor’s appointment, asthma, out of town, etc.

Before/After School Care
KidSpace, Â鶹Íø's before/after school care, is available for students enrolled in kindergarten through sixth gradel. Our facility is open from 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Enrollment is limited. Currently enrolled students are given first priority and available space is filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Call 602-896-5715 for more information. or click here.

Dress Code
Uniforms are notn required, however, students must adhere to dress code guidelines. Please click here for more information on our dress code. All students are required to wear an ID while on school campus.

Nutrition
John Jacobs Elementary serves universal free breakfast and lunch. Breakfast is served to all students in the classroom lunches are served in the cafeteria.

ParentVUE
All parents and guardians have a ParentVUE account that can be used to access important information about their student such as grades and attendance. Parents/guardians will need an activation key to log on for the first time. You can obtain an activation key by visiting the school office and bringing a photo ID. If you have a registered email, you can also request account activation online. Please visit /ParentVUE to get started.

Student Drop-Off and Pickup
Student drop-off and pickup is located on the east side of 23rd Avenue in the parking lot south of the school. Please click here for more information on student drop-off/pickup procedures.

Transportation
Students may ride the bus based on thier home address. Bus routes are available online by clicking here.
Students may also walk or ride bikes to school. Bikes should be ridden on the side of the road with traffic, not on the sidewalk. Bikes are to be walked while on school property.

Visiting Campus
For the safety of our students, all visitors must sign in at the office, provide ID and receive a visitor’s badge to wear before proceeding onto the campus. Please click here for more information on visiting campus.
