Athletics
Athletics provided at Desert Foothills include: cross country for boys and girls, girls and boys volleyball, basketball for boys and girls, girls softball, soccer for boys and girls and track and field for boys and girls

Attendance
The legal custodial parent or legal guardian of the child must notify the school of the student's absence prior to the absence or when the absence occurs.
Absences shall be excused for reasons such as: illness, doctor appointment, bereavement, family emergencies, or observance of major religious holidays of the family's faith. All absences incurred while registered in Â鶹Íø schools that exceed a total of 18 for the school year will be reported as unexcused despite the reason.

Backpacks
Backpacks are not permitted on campus, it is recommended that students utilize a zipper binder.
Bicyclists may have a backpack riding to school but must leave it in the bike rack area.

Dress Code
Uniforms are not required, however, students must adhere the dress code.

Nutrition
Breakfast and lunch are free for all students. Breakfast is served in the classrooms from 8:52 - 9:33 a.m. Lunches are served daily in the cafeteria.

ParentVUE
All parents and guardians have a ParentVUE account that can be used to access important information about their student such as grades and attendance. Parents/guardians will need an activation key to log on for the first time. You can obtain an activation key by visiting the school office and bringing a photo ID. If you have a registered email, you can also request account activation online. Please visit /ParentVUE to get started.

School Supplies
Â鶹Íø provides all required supplies. Teachers may offer a "wish list" of optional items. Textbooks are provided in each classroom. Teachers will provide more information through a class syllabus.

Student Drop-Off and Pickup
Students may be dropped off at 8:45 a.m. by the flag pole unless they are registered for our morning ASA Program. Parents should use the north parking lot to drop off and pickup students. Students arriving after 8:52 a.m. need to report to the office to get a late pass. If you would like to pickup your child during school hours, you will need to sign them out in the front office. Only persons you identify on the emergency contact list will be able to take children out of school.

Transportation
Bus transportation is provided based on the student's home address. Bus routes are available online by clicking here. Students may also walk to campus based on home address. Walking students should never cross major streets such as 35th Ave., Greenway, or Thunderbird.
Students who choose to ride bicycles to school must secure them with a lock inside the bike rack area. The school is not responsible for any loss or damage.

Visiting Campus
Parents are encouraged to visit the schools. All visitors to any school must report to the school office upon arrival.
